Roy, The Photographer
Photography is where my creativity comes alive, and is in a way connected to my spirituality. When the weather cooperates, I spend many hours on the weekends out walking around trying to catch that “perfect” shot. I may take a 1,000 pictures and only end up with one that I’m satisfied with. I intend to be a photographer full time once I retired from my day job. Over the past couple of years, my photographer’s eye has developed, and I’m truly finding my way.
I may have to open a studio for portrait photography, like many other photographers, to help with finances, but that’s not my passion. Everyone and every thing has a soul and a passion, and I want to reveal it through my pictures. I’m not interested in stuffy poses of a person. I want to capture the real person. I prefer outdoor photography because I like to colors and spirit of nature. I find people are more relaxed in natural settings than they are in studios too. My favorite is black and whites. B&W photography is one of the classics you just can’t beat.
I have a few ideas for some photography books I would like to publish, and hope to begin those soon. I’m not opposed to nude photography because I think the body is a beautiful piece of art. Someday I hope to publish a book of nude male erotica.
