Just Freaking Monday

Wow, what an interesting day. Spirit has been telling me that change was coming. I knew the changes would manifest before October, but I didn’t realize that meant the end of August! Yesterday I pulled the medicine card Rabbit, which told me not to be held back by fear. I also pulled the Armadillo card, which told me to create a medicine shield to protect those things I wanted to manifest in my life. I obliged, as I always do, and the medicine shield is now hanging on my wall, with six items in the center that represent my long and short term goals.

Our business partner at the store informed us today that she is calling it quits. I knew this day was coming, and I knew it would be soon. The current state of our economy has not been kind to her. The dilemma is that this leaves us supporting the store on our own, including her half of the rent, and her half of the man hours. Greg and I will have to plan really fast how we are going to handle the increased expenses, and the increased hours at the store.

Fear could easily slip in right now, but I’m going to be stronger than it is. We just need to make a thorough plan on how to handle this. The next couple of months could be rough, but I know we can make this work. We are the dynamic duo, haha! We already have some ideas on how to assume the herbal tea business she brought to the store, and I know we will add coffee. I have wanted my own coffee bar for way too freaking long now to pass up this opportunity.
